Rowing is an incredible experience!

A sense of accomplishment and pride are gained as individuals rowing in a boat come together to row effectively as one. Classes teach the fundamentals of the stroke as well as boat handling, water safety, coxing, and care of equipment. Mount Baker has a Jr Crew program for Novice and Varsity Rowers as wells as an Adult program that offers multiple ways for you to get involved depending on your level of experience and interest.

Junior Crew

The Junior Crew program (8th-12th graders, boys and girls) is the Center’s largest and most active — registering approximately 150 athletes from middle and high schools throughout the region. The rowing program at Mt Baker teaches the basic fundamentals of rowing, boat handling, water safety and care of equipment. All classes are geared toward competitive rowing.

Adult Crew

Mount Baker Adult Crew (MBAC), housed at Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center, is an open access program, offering fitness, fun, and competition. Adult or “Masters” rowingRowing Adult is open to everyone 16 and older. At MBAC, we offer multiple ways for you to get involved depending on your level of experience and interest. Our classes range from Learn to Row to Competitive Rowing and can be taken at various times and days of the week.
