As a member organization of USRowing, we require all our rowers that will participate in regattas to obtain an individual USRowing membership. This membership ensures that participants are covered under USRowing’s insurance program and are compliant with national rowing regulations.

Membership Requirements:

• Individual Membership: Every participant who plans to race in a regatta must hold a current USRowingmembership. This membership provides access to various resources, including insurance coverage and eligibility to participate in USRowing sanctioned events.

• Signed Waiver: All members are required to sign an annual waiver through the USRowing membership portal. This waiver is essential for participation in any rowing activitiesand ensures acknowledgment of the inherent risks associated with the sport.

• SafeSport Training: In alignment with USRowing’s commitment to creating a safe environment, all “Relevant Adult Participant” per USRowing’s definition must complete the SafeSport training program. This training educates members on preventing abuse and misconduct in sports. “Relevant Adult Participant” includes:

o An adult athlete who has Regular Contact* with any Minor Athlete

o Individuals in a position of power, including but not limited to coaches, staff, chaperones and board members, are required to take SafeSport training regardless of the total number of instances they have with minors. This includes positions of power held over adults only.
