Mt. Baker Rowing and Sailing Center has a vibrant masters rowing team that brings together people of all ages to row on beautiful Lake Washington. We seek to be an inclusive group that provides a rewarding experience for those new to rowing and those with decades of experience.

All of our practices offer rowers the opportunity to build teamwork, community, and rowing skills under the guidance of expert coaches. In an effort to give all our team members an opportunity to meet their goals, we have three different schedules:

Three Days a Week Rowing (Level 3), offered morning and mid-day

These practices invite rowers to hone their rowing skills under the guidance and feedback of our expert coaches. Rowers will have the opportunity to experience different line-ups and boat sizes. Whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned rower, this program emphasizes fitness, camaraderie, and the joy of being on the water.

Rowers signed up for Level 3 are encouraged to race at regattas, but they will have to attend M/W/F practice occasionally to practice race line-ups.

Four Days a Week Rowing (Level 4)

Practices build technique to support rowers to compete in regattas throughout the year. Rowers do not have to attend every regatta, but the focus of practices is taking technique to the next level while practicing race line-ups.

Rowers commit to structured practices featuring advanced technique work, strength and conditioning, and intensive on-water training. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or looking to elevate your rowing to new heights while competing in local, regional, or national regattas, the Level 4 program provides the tools and community to support your goals.

Regattas & Competition

Open to All Rowers:

Local and Regional Regattas – We encourage all interested rowers to participate in local and regional regattas throughout the season. Coaches will select boats and line-ups based on practice attendance and skill level. Those signed up for Level 3 may need to attend practice other days to accommodate some line-ups.

Competitive Selection Events:

Head of the Charles & Opening Day (Windermere Cup) – These prestigious regattas have limited boat entries, so rowers compete for seats through time trials and coach evaluation

Row for fun, fitness, and community at Mt. Baker.
