Vincent Hestad

Masters Head Coach

Vincent Hestad is the Masters Head Coach at Mt. Baker Rowing and Sailing Center. A Seattle native, Vincent began his rowing journey with Mt. Baker, where he competed from 2015 to 2020. During this time, he achieved notable success, including a third-place finish at the 2018 Club Nationals with the United States High-Performance Rowing Team. 

Vincent further honed his skills by participating in the Olympic Development Program in 2019. He continued his rowing career at the University of San Diego, competing in the 1V8+ during his freshman year. 

As the Masters Head Coach, Vincent brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for rowing, fostering a supportive and competitive environment for athletes at Mt. Baker Rowing and Sailing Center.

Corrado Moy

Masters Assistant Coach

Corrado Moy is the Assistant Masters Coach at Mt. Baker Rowing and Sailing Center. A Seattle native, Corrado began his rowing career as a coxswain at Mt. Baker in January 2016. After five years as a youth athlete, he continued coxing at Santa Clara University for two years, contributing to the program’s significant achievements. Corrado later pursued an education in music, focusing on jazz performance. 

His diverse background enriches his coaching approach, fostering both technical proficiency and a passion for rowing among the masters athletes at Mt. Baker.

Maura Deering

Masters Assistant Coach

Maura Deering is the Assistant Masters Coach at Mt. Baker, and specifically works with Level 3 athletes. With a longstanding affiliation with Mt. Baker Crew, Maura has been an active participant in the rowing community, competing in various events, including the 2018 10,000m RowErg rankings. 

Her dedication to the sport is further exemplified by her involvement in creating strength and conditioning programs. 

As a coach, Maura brings a wealth of experience and a passion for rowing, fostering a supportive and challenging environment for masters athletes at Mt. Baker.

Ross Tilghman

Adult Learn to Row Coach

Ross Tilghman is the Adult Learn to Row Coach at Mt. Baker Rowing and Sailing Center in Seattle, Washington. With a rich history in the rowing community, Ross has actively participated in various regattas, including the Northwest Masters Championship and the Head of the Charles Regatta. Beyond his athletic involvement, he has contributed to the center’s development, notably announcing the expansion of the meeting room in 2011 

As a coach, Ross is dedicated to introducing adults to the fundamentals of rowing, fostering a supportive and engaging environment for newcomers to the sport.
