Forms

Before you hit the water, we have a few things to complete to ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone. These forms help us ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone. All forms must be signed and turned into the office before the first day of practice. Have questions? Our office is happy to help with anything, paperwork or otherwise!

All rowers must submit the following forms:

Float Test: To participate in most classes at Mt. Baker Rowing and Sailing Center, you’ll need to pass a quick 10-minute float test. This test ensures you’re comfortable in the water. Here’s what to expect:

  • You’ll wear pants and a long-sleeve shirt to simulate real-world paddling conditions.
  • For nine minutes, you’ll tread water or simply float.
  • In the final minute, a certified lifeguard will throw you a life jacket, which you’ll put on.

The test can be completed at any pool or beach with a lifeguard on duty. Your float test is valid for three years. Contact the Mt. Baker Rowing and Sailing Center office to check the validity of yours.
