Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center activities are self-sustaining and rely heavily on program participation, donations and contributions to buy, repair, maintain, and upgrade equipment and supplies as well as provide financial assistance to individuals, primarily youth, who would otherwise not be able to participate in our programs.
Donations are accepted in the office or online through our parent organization Associated Recreation Council (ARC). ARC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization registered in the State of Washington, and your donation may have tax-deductible benefits. A tax-receipt letter will be sent to you after we process your donation.
We are grateful for the patronage of our many loyal participants and the service of our dedicated volunteers that support our fundraising activities throughout the year.
We are currently conducting our 2016 Annual Fund campaign. Thank you so much for all your generous support.
We use the Annual Fund to make equipment acquisitions and to provide financial assistance. Program fees do not cover the cost of equipment renewal nor do they fund financial assistance to participants.
Remember that because the Boating Advisory Council is a 501(c) (3) charitable member organization, your contribution to the Annual Fund is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. So please become a participating donor and help us put the GO in Baker!

Jr Crew Row-a-thon
Each Spring the Mount Baker Boating Advisory Council invites family and friends to support their favorite young rowers by contributing to the Mount Baker Junior Crew’s Row-a-thon. Our annual spring fundraiser helps buy NEW rowing equipment, offsets the increasing cost of crew travel to NW Regional Championships, provide financial aid, and cover expenses for the annual end-of-season Junior Crew Awards celebration. The Row-a-thon is similar to a walk-a-thon. Junior crew members will row on a stationary rowing machine as hard as they can for 20 minutes. The goal is to top the previous year’s average distance rowed per athlete. You have the choice to donate a specific amount or base your donation on the average number of meters rowed.
